Ocean Magazine annual selection of Top Coastal Architects in the USA includes Boca Raton architects Rex Nichols Architects. Find an architect for modern homes among West Palm Beach architects, top Boca Raton architects and Palm Beach architects, RNA is focused in contemporary architecture.
If you foolishly ignore beauty, you will soon find yourself without it but if you invest in beauty, it will remain with you all the days of your life – Frank Lloyd Wright. Find an architect or any top coastal architects to renovate a historical building with contemporary architecture and bring the balance between what once was and what something needs to become is naturally a challenge as they design additions to and rehabilitate historic properties. The Palm Beach architects, West Palm Beach architects and Boca Raton architects created guidelines for preserving, rehabilitating, restoring and reconstructing historic buildings are discussed in the Secretary of Interior Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. To renovate Banyan Court, Boca Raton Hotel & Club commissioned the top Boca Raton Architects RNA. By designing modern homes and specializing in contemporary architecture, and being the chairman of historical preservation, RNA has a holistic approach to this matter.
OCEAN TO INTRACOASTAL
This 20,000 square foot private residence, at that time, was one of the first modern homes located in a spacious enclave which stretches from the Atlantic to the Intracoastal Waterway in Palm Beach County. It is a modern tropical retreat for a family whose lives were well-rooted in the northeast. Entering the compound, driving beneath giant banyan trees dripping with philodendron and orchids, the sounds of falling water is unmistakable, flowing over waterfalls and through a moat around the front perimeter. Boca Raton architects RNA designed the contemporary architecture style house with bougainvilleas cascade over trellises, creating splashes of brilliant color and dripped sunlight against the vanilla colored stucco. RNA created a scale of the architecture to be more a village as opposed to one massive structure. The scale is accomplished by dividing the house into wings joined by transparent rotunda which captures the stunning views of the ocean, as well as the winding drive and landscape of the front yard. A 4,500 square foot guest house is located across A1A with Intracoastal views.

This AIA award-winning project came to top coastal architects RNA, and it was published on the Virtual Globe Trotting's website as the Leonard Abramson's house. This 17,785 square foot modern home, a mix of contemporary architecture and Mediterranean style, was built in only 6 months time and it was awarded the excellence in architecture by American Institute of Architects (AIA). At that time, working as Palm Beach architects RNA proposed a residence which for privacy in the front takes advantage of the views of the Intracoastal Waterway. West Palm Beach architects RNA was focused to find an architecture that uses the maximum use of glass and French doors allow the indoor spaces to flow into the exterior where the oversize pool and spa provide a setting for relaxed entertainment.
The Mizner Administration building was designed and built by Addison Mizner in 1925 to house the artisans from Europe who worked on the famous Boca Raton Hotel & Club. They also used the building facing Camino Real to sell the properties he has accumulated through the years. The property degenerated into a sad state of disrepair. A few years ago the complex was commissioned the top Boca Raton architects Rex Nichols Architects to restore and enlarge the prominent building which is designated historic by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The restoration earned the Boca Raton architects RNA an award of excellence for historic preservation presented by the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

The surprising success of Tilghman Gallery may possibly be credited to the timing during which there was a national debate as to whether galleries should be only a neutral backdrop for the art or should themselves be a work of art. The Tilghman Gallery was both. West Palm Beach architects comments were that the popularity of Michael Grave's chair may be responsible for the featured cover of the interior design magazine, or the fact that it won the ASID contract award, the award of excellence from AIA and the prestigious Hexter award. The gallery was published extensively in the USA and in Europe. A brilliant design coup was achieved in breaking up the long narrow space into separate viewing rooms without walls through the use of an open column and beam system. Further definition is provided by the suspended ceiling sprayed in metallic automotive paint. The flooring pattern of black granite, white marble, and gray carpet combined with the column and beam system frame the sitting areas which also find an architect exhibits the Wassily's chairs.
Oriana by the Sea is an oceanfront community of townhouses and condominiums located in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea. The views from the beach of coconut swaying palms highlight the Mediterranean-palazzo style of the residential complex. Boca Raton architects RNA created this 34 unit development encompasses an area of 98,000 square feet. There are balconies and porches strategically placed for every living area where residents can luxuriate in the constantly changing views of the picturesque scenery. Amenities provided for the residents are courtyard overlooking the ocean, fitness center, oceanfront pool, gated entry, business center, covered parking, sauna, and spa.
THE DESIGN OF THE DANCE CENTER OF LONDON
The design of the Dance Center of London, a 2,000 square foot retail space in the Bal Harbour Shops, the open-air mall is seemingly simple; wood flooring, theatrical spot lighting, a bar with stools and a space frame structure to suggest divisions and provide optimal flexibility as a display vehicle. That is all. Yet despite the simplicity of the solutions, there were real difficulties – along with narrowed space and the charge to create a design scheme complementary to a merchandising concept that called for individualized sales help with customers.
Starting at the storefront, the solution was to angle the display windows inwards at 45 degrees to attract sidewalk passersby. This set has been used by Palm Beach architects RNA for the continued diagonal orientation inside, helping to counteract awkward dimensions through the placement of space frame modules. On the more subjective plane, this element was selected to provide a feeling of backstage theatrics and to have the customer more involved than merely walking into the store, but also to create a momentum of energy and activity reflecting the product of exercise wear.
The inspiration for Boca Raton architects RNA to develop the planning of this well-detailed residence was the unusual shape of the building site, which curves around a street side cul-de-sac in front and is carved out back by the Intracoastal Waterway and a side canal. The estate is warm and inviting and incorporates many of the elements that define Mediterranean architecture – a clay-tile rooftop, open courtyards and loggias, stately columns, graceful arches, ornate balustrades, and lush landscape with towering palms, flowing fountains and cobblestone paving. The beauty of the residence lies in the details – the graceful arches, and sturdy stone columns, the delightful porthole windows and coffered and groin vaulted ceiling.
